Some of my earliest memories are ripping my Zebco Mickey Mouse rig on farm ponds slaying bluegill, and when fishing was slow, I was digging in the dirt looking for cool rocks. I got my start in fly fishing throwing wooly buggers at smallies and then quickly fell in love exploring blue lines in Appalachia. The Smokies and the Nantahala forest will always hold a special place in my heart, but now I’m a full fledged trout bum living the dream on the mighty Mo with a real trout obsession. The way their patterns and colors change in the light fascinates me and is the basis for my inspiration. To hold this perfect masterpiece for a brief moment and then watch them swim away is everything.
